Mokoseek is a search engine which donates 60% of all advertising revenue to organizations such as schools and charities. Each organization has the power to affect change at the community level; however, given today’s economy, many of them are having a difficult time doing what they do best. By allowing each organization’s membership to support their favorite cause without spending a dime, Mokoseek aspires to become an essential part of the fund raising equation.

How does Mokoseek raise money for my favorite charity or school?
Mokoseek’s business model is simple. Organizations simply ask their members and friends to start using Mokoseek.com instead of their current search engine. On the home page, each user will select their favorite cause by typing its name in the text box under “Enter Charity or School Name”. To ensure that Mokoseek remembers your selection, sign up by clicking the link in the top right corner of the screen. Once signed-up, you will not have to re-enter the organization that you support unless you move to a different computer. If you do use a different computer to access Mokoseek, simply sign-in with your email address and password; by doing so, your information will be pre-populated fast and easy!

What makes Mokoseek Special… why should I use Mokoseek?
There are a small number of companies dedicated to helping non-profit organizations raise money through web search services. These are good organizations and we applaud their efforts. Mokoseek is special because we allow anyone to join; however, our focus is on organizations that assist Africans and their descendants worldwide. In sum, our mission is to help to erase the educational, economic and technological gaps which still persist today.

What is a 501c3?
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit is exempt from federal income tax if it has these purposes: charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fosters amateur sports competition, prevents cruelty to children or animals. To learn more or to become a 501c3, click here

What percentage of the Advertising revenue goes to the charities and schools?
60% of all advertising revenue goes to each organization. Thus, for every $100 dollars a school or charity’s membership raises, $60 goes to that organization. Advertising revenue is generated through pay per click (ads that appear within the search results). All funds are immediately added to each organization’s Google Adsense account the moment that it is generated! Google Adsense will pay organizations on a monthly basis if EFT (electronic funds transfer) is used. Click here to learn more about Google Adsense; an account is required to utilize Mokoseek. How much money could this generate for my charity or school?
On average, $0.01 is generated per search. So, if you have 1000 supporters searching Mokoseek once per day, that’s $3,650 per year. If you have 2,500 supporters using Mokoseek twice a day, that’s $18,250 per year. There is no limit to how much you can generate… it all depends on the number of supporters you encourage to use Mokoseek and the frequency that they use the service.

How do I know how much money my organization has raised?
Funds are deposited directly into your organization’s Google Adsense account the moment revenue is generated. Simply sign-in to your Google Adsense account to determine how much money has been generated.

Where does the money come from… do users have to pay?
Users do not have to pay; they simply have to use Mokoseek to search the web—something they do on a regular basis!

Does Mokoseek remember the cause/charity that I chose each time I visit the site?
Yes, only if you sign-up and are on the same computer you used to sign-up. If you’re on a different computer, simply sign-in and your information will be pre-populated.

Can I support more than one charity?
Yes. However, you can only select one at a time. You can change the organization that you support by changing the name that appears in the textbox below “Enter Charity or School Name”.

What if no organization is selected?
If no organization is selected, the revenue generated will go to help fund Mokoseek’s operations and ongoing product development. Each year, Mokoseek will also use generated funds to support causes throughout the African Diaspora.

How can I help spread the word about Mokoseek?
If your favorite charity or school is not currently in Mokoseek, contact them and ask them to sign-up. If you’re supporting a specific cause, spread the word throughout your organization. We welcome all the support that we can get.

What is Click Fraud?
Fraudulent searching includes, but is not limited to, repeated manual clicks, the use of robots or other automated query tools, etc.

What is Mokoseek's policy on Click Fraud?
If click fraud is suspected, Mokoseek will de-list the suspect organization. As long as users use Mokoseek in the same manner that they use their current search engine, click fraud will not occur.
